Power Core
this was one of the three 3D models I made for my personal style and self promotion passion project assignment. the purpose of this assignment was to update the first 3D models I made in my first year of using maya due to not being happy with their outcome.

Description:

My main focus for the power core was experimenting with lighting in the scene.
-
For the lighting I experimented with different light positions and reflection values.
-
One technique I retained from the original version is that I used an extrude of a bevel to simulate blender’s wireframe modifier in maya.
-
In terms of UV mapping, the main issue was the cage due to its repetitive nature and it being easy to miss faces.
